Based on 2,000 interviews per year since 2021 with car drivers and hundreds of interviews with car dealerships and workshops, well-founded findings on the market and market structures are now available in a large study.

Tuning Study 2023 "Emotional mobility, car tuning and refinement"
New tuning study 2023 "Emotional mobility, car tuning and refinement"
On 2 December 2023, we were delighted to present the current Tuning Study 2023 "Emotional mobility, car tuning and refinement" was presented at a press conference at the Motorshow Essen. The first edition of this study was produced with the support of VDAT (Verband der Automobil Tuner e.V.), AvD (Allgemeiner Verkehrsclub von Deutschland), Messe Automechanika Frankfurt, Premio Reifen- und Autoservice, Vogtmann & Herold and the FSP partner, Sachverständigenbüro Hundt. This provides comprehensive and reliable data on this emotionally charged market for car tuning and customisation in Germany.
As part of the study, 1,000 drivers, more than 100 drivers of tuned cars and more than 30 manufacturers were asked about their attitudes and specific behaviours. In addition, the players and their presence in social media were comprehensively analysed. The results show that the scene is characterised by models from the German manufacturers BMW, Audi, VW and Mercedes. In addition to the vehicle manufacturers' production of their own performance lines, the study shows a Tuning market with a volume of over 2 billion euros in Germany alone. Wheels/tyres and chassis components account for the largest share.

Classic Study - Young and classic cars as an economic factor in 2023
New study: Young and classic cars as an economic factor in 2023
On 13 April 2023, we were delighted to present the current study "Young and Classic Cars as an Economic Factor" at a press conference at the Techno Classica in Essen. The 5th edition of this study was also produced with the support of the ZDK, VDA and VDIK associations and various other industry giants.
We have been able to present a fundamentally positive view of classic cars to society, even if some sceptics still need to be convinced of the economic factor and the importance of classic cars as a cultural asset.
We also made it clear that vehicle structures are changing and that new, younger people are joining the scene.
There was also no shortage of tangible tips for the industry: workshops and specialists need to become more digital and more active in terms of communication and find new ways of recruiting staff.
